Dry HID Lighting Capacitors
This capacitor series is designed and manufactured with metallized polypropylene film to provide selfhealing properties and very low dielectric losses. These features, coupled with a flame retardant plastic case and encapsulate, make these capacitors ideally suited for use in the ballast circuit for mercury vapor, metal halide, and high-pressure sodium lamps as well as other applications where the user has determined that a dry metallized film capacitor with no internal protective device is suitable and acceptable.
